As an avid writer for Mood Indigo, I have finally decided on a day to feature new music, as well as music suggestions. Be on the look out because Wave Wednesday's first will feature a lot of amazing artist that need all the support they can get. It has been so much fun to be able to write freely about music, yet also share and grow a community of listeners. I thank all of you who support me; we can only move upward from here. My biggest influence for this blog was actually behind the artist early in the passed week I wrote of. The band Quiet Friend released their new album this week and I'd highly suggest giving my article a look! The track I highly suggest is Name All the Animals. This tune involves all the aspects that Nick Zanca made for himself as the Brooklyn IDM producer Mister Lies. He tweeted the day of the release: "name all the animals" is about finding someone you love, making a home
and feeling total coziness despite the world falling apart. This song has intricate writing technique and a departure into an interesting instrumental section where an IDM beat weaves through a fretless bass bottoming out some beautiful keys. The melodica solo to Violin soli was highly unexpected as a close to this track, but that's the reason this song stood out to me so much. As a sneak peak for Wednesday I'm going to be doing a special feature focus on the group The Invisible as well as Leaks who turned Loure closing it out with a Mura Masa song that I honestly don't know how I'm going to get out of my head! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week, and with my music to yours.
